The 6v6 multiplayer shooter Marvel Rivals features some of the biggest characters from the comics and MCU. Here’s the full roster of heroes and villains.
While drawing many comparisons to Overwatch 2, Marvel Rivals has several unique features that make it stand out. One example is how you can use team-up abilities when pairing certain characters together and a destructible environment.
The Closed Beta introduced 23 playable characters with different abilities and ultimates, with Jeff the Shark and Thor being a complete surprise to players as they were added around halfway during the period.
To help you keep track of all the characters in Marvel Rivals, we’ve compiled a list of the full roster, including confirmed and leaked heroes and villains.

Below are all the characters who were in the Marvel Rivals beta:

Thor and Jeff The Land Shark are the newest additions to Marvel Rivals. Both Thor and Jeff were revealed at San Diego Comic Con, and as a surprise, the devs added them to the Closed Beta. Before the pair, both Venom and Adam Warlock were added to the game with the release of the Beta.
Upcoming heroes for Marvel Rivals
Besides the characters who are already in the game and those who have been leaked, the devs have also revealed a few other characters who will be coming in the future.
Below are all the characters who are arriving in Marvel Rivals:
- Doctor Doom
- Captain America
- Winter Soldier
- Psylocke
- Moon Knight
During San Diego Comic Con, Doctor Doom was showed off, alongside Jeff The Land Shark and Thor. As a surprise, Jeff and Thor were added to the Closed Beta, however, there is no time frame for Doctor Doom’s arrival.

At Gamescom on August 20, 2024, the game’s official release date was revealed for December 6 of that same year. However, the release date teaser also confirmed that two more rumored heroes – Captain America and the Winter Soldier – will be available to the game at launch.
As of September 23, 2024, we finally got to see another character getting teased. This time, it’s Psylocke from X-Men. This was revealed from the Marvel Rivals’ official Discord trivia event, in which players who complete the event could “unlock exclusive surprises about our upcoming hero.” Below is an early teaser of Pyslocke in Marvel Rivals.
And likely to be the last character we see before Marvel Rivals’ official launch, Moon Knight will be arriving as a Duelist character. His arrival was announced on November 9, 2024.
Leaked heroes for Marvel Rivals
Shortly before the game’s launch into early access, trusted leaker Miller Ross revealed 20 more Marvel Rivals heroes located via datamining. Ross has a proven track record for leaking accurate information on superhero games like Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League but the following heroes should not be considered guaranteed entries to the game.

It’s currently unknown which of Marvel Rivals’ three classes these leaked characters will fall into. Of course, Marvel fanatics can probably make some educated guesses.
