Characters in Marvel RivalsNetEase Games

Marvel Rivals features a huge roster of iconic heroes and villains, and the lineup is only going to grow over time, but which characters are yet to be released?

In many ways, Marvel Rivals is the multiplayer shooter that comic book fans have been calling for, taking the structure and format of Overwatch and sprinkling in popular heroes and villains from across the Marvel multiverse.

But, although there are already 33 characters at launch and the Fantastic Four confirmed for Season 1, there are plenty of other familiar faces that players would love to see. So, here’s a look at all the leaked Marvel Rivals characters we know about so far.

According to leaks from dataminers Miller Ross and Matfacio, the full Fantastic Four team will be making their way to Marvel Rivals in the future. Perhaps it’ll coincide with the 2025 movie starring Pedro Pascal but with the logo appearing in the Season 0 trailer (timestamp 1:44), we could see them as soon as Season 1.

Emma Frost and Jean Grey could be set for an X-Men update in the future, joining the likes of Magneto, Storm, and Wolverine, but it’s not clear when they could arrive. Blade and Ultron are outliers so could arrive at any point.

Later datamining from X0X indicates that Deadpool, Captain Marvel, Hit Monkey, Modok, and Angela are set to arrive, likely not until Season 2 or 3 at the earliest. There’s a healthy mix of popular and lesser known heroes across all these leaks, making it clear the dev team wants to play the hits just as much as they want to bring lesser known Marvel heroes and villains into the spotlight.

Is Doctor Doom coming to Marvel Rivals?

Doctor Doom is in Marvel Rivals, but he won’t be a playable character – at least to begin with. Instead, he’s the main antagonist of Season 0 which started on the same day as the game’s worldwide launch.

But while the legendary villain will play a key role in the first few months of Marvel Rivals, he isn’t joining the fight himself as far as we know. It’s too early to rule him out as a playable character in the future, but given that he hasn’t featured in any of the leaks, he’s unlikely to arrive anytime soon.

We’ll be sure to update this page with details on other heroes joining the character roster in the future as soon as we know.
