Dragon Ball Sparking Zero arrived in October and smashed sale records with a huge amount of players logging in at launch — but how does the player count look in November 2024?
Sparking Zero brings the beloved Budokai Tenkaichi series out of a decade-long hiatus with a massive roster of characters, branching story paths, and plenty of modes to dive into.
With the original franchise being so beloved it’s no surprise that so many jumped into Sparking Zero at launch, and we’re keeping tabs on how the playerbase is looking monthly below.
How many people are playing Dragon Ball Sparking Zero?
According to SteamDB, as of November 7, 2024, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero has approximately 7,673 active players with a 24-hour peak of 14,303.
The player count has plummeted compared to its numbers at launch, with the 14,303 players being a far cry from its all-time peak of 122,554 on launch day.
It’s still important to note as this is only related to PC players, there are still plenty of fans diving in on PS5 and Xbox Series S/X.

Player count compared to competitors
Despite the drop in players, Sparking Zero remains the second-most popular fighting game of all time on Steam when it comes to all-time peak numbers.
The only one it failed to eclipse at launch was MultiVersus, the once-mega-poplar brawler that brought properties like Batman, Game of Thrones, and Adventure Time together.
For comparison’s sake, below is a graph of how well some of the biggest fighting games’ player counts on Steam since their release:
