How to get more money fast in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Catch and sell some rare fish
Catching fish might take a little while, but it’s worth the patience. Be on the lookout for red and blue circles in the water as these usually lead to rarer catches. For example, one Swordfish fetches a huge 700 Star Coins.
You can boost your haul by choosing fishing as a character’s specialty when you level up your friendship with them. Once you’ve done this, simply invite them to ‘hang out’ and there will be a small chance they’ll throw in a few extra fish when you catch one.
Mine gems with the pickaxe
Gems are some of the most lucrative items you can sell in Disney Dreamlight Valley, but they’re also quite rare. To find them, you’ll need to keep an eye out for tall black rocks along the walls of your town and hit them a few times with your pickaxe.
It’s not guaranteed that you’ll get any gems, but it’s always worth giving it a go, as rare ones like a Shiny Amethyst can sell for 2000 Star Coins. Just like fishing, you can bring along a friend that specializes in mining to potentially get some extra gems.
Unlock Remy and start cooking meals
When you unlock Remy first, the loveable rat will teach you a bunch of recipes to cook. Not only can these be given to characters to increase your friendship level, but high-rated meals can also be sold for a decent amount of Star Coins.

Use the souffle method to farm Star Coins
One tip for farming Star Coins that’s been shared by many is the souffle method. You can buy all the ingredients needed for this recipe from Chez Remy, which cuts out the need to grow crops or pick fruit from trees, and there’s an unlimited supply available.
The key to this method is to temporarily move Chez Remy next to Goofy’s Stall. Use your Star Coins to purchase as many of the four ingredients (Cheese, Butter, Eggs, and Milk) as you can. Cook multiple souffle then head to Goofy’s Stall to sell them. Then simply rinse and repeat!
The profit from selling an individual souffle isn’t amazing, but if you make hundreds of them you can make a pretty decent amount of Star Coins in quite a short amount of time.
Create a pumpkin farm
Once you’ve unlocked the Forgotten Lands you’ll get access to the most valuable vegetable in Disney Dreamlight Valley: Pumpkins!
Pumpkin seeds can be purchased from Goofy’s stall once it’s been repaired. While a single seed costs 275 Star Coins, a fully-grown pumpkin can be sold for 664 Star coins. If you’ve got a whole farm of them growing on repeat, that can turn into a pretty nice profit!
Remember to bring along a character who specializes in gardening for a chance to get some extra pumpkins when collecting them all. They do take quite a while to grow so you’ll definitely want to maximize your rewards.
