Black Myth: Wukong can be pretty tricky if you don’t craft new weapons as you go, but for that, you’ll need Refined Iron Sand.
Refined Iron Sand, just like Silk or the other resources throughout the game, can be pretty tricky to find as you explore and battle bosses. Despite it being a material needed to upgrade and craft new weapons, there isn’t much information about how you can get hold of it.
Luckily, there are a few key tips to help players grab Refined Iron Sand with ease, allowing you to defeat the frustrating Whiteclad Noble.
What is Refined Iron Sand and what’s it used for?
Refined Iron Sand is a valuable Weapon Crafting resource in Black Myth: Wukong.
The material is used for crafting and upgrading Epic and Legendary weapons in Black Myth: Wukong. These weapons significantly boost your damage output in the game. Thankfully the resource isn’t very hard to get, and you can stack up on them by general farming early in the game.
Where can you buy Refined Iron Sand?
The easiest way to get hold of Refined Iron Sand is by buying it in the Store. Head over to your nearest Shrine and open the Store. There should be a few Refined Iron Sand there, costing 1,200 Will each. It’s worth noting however, these will sell out, so you can’t keep buying tons.

However, if you’re looking to save your hard-earned Will, you can farm this item through the following methods:
- Defeating enemies in Chapters Two and Three
- Opening chests
The most efficient way to get Refined Iron Sand is to simply play the game. However, enemies in Chapters Two and Three do drop the resource more commonly so be sure to farm through those if you’re in need.
On top of this, we recommend searching through chests along your journey. Any golden chests, wooden chests, or bowls could house Refined Iron Sand so it’s always worth opening them when you can. These are usually found just off the beaten path so make sure you explore.
