Listings have been popping back up since then, and have quickly disappeared due to demand. If you still haven’t managed to secure your purchase, you might need some help knowing how to do so in all the madness. Here’s how you can grab one, and the accessories to go with it.

How to preorder the limited edition Animal Crossing console

If Animal Crossing is your favorite way to relax, then the new Switch is right up your alley. Its pastel blue and green color scheme fits the vibe of the life simulator perfectly – especially with the little Tom, Timmy, and Tommy Nook picture on the front.

The coveted system retails for $299.99 USD / £329.99 GBP, and can be obtained through various retailers if you’re fast enough to net yourself one before they sell out.

It comes out a week before release date in the United States, on March 13, but doesn’t come bundled with the game so you’ll need an extra $59.99 spare for that. If you’re in the United Kingdom, the Switch is available on release day on March 20 and comes with a digital download code for New Horizons.

USA

North America has a variety of retailers offering the system so it’s likely that at least one will have stock at the time of clicking. Some places like Best Buy are on their fourth or fifth wave of preorders, so it’s worth checking back or setting up stock alerts with a seller to see if they’ve relisted if you want to purchase somewhere specific.

UK

The UK also has a good selection of retailers to choose from, and again, preorders are coming in waves. If your preferred store has sold out, it’s worth checking back periodically to see if another set has gone up, though most of them have the console in stock at the time of writing.

It seems as though Nintendo knows just how much fans are wanting the next installment in the series with all the accessories up for grabs, especially since the last main entry released over six years ago in 2013.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons releases worldwide on March 20 for the Nintendo Switch. If you’re not wanting a physical copy, the game can be preloaded onto systems right now – though you can’t play it until release day!
