Wondering if MultiVersus has cross-progression and crossplay? Here’s all you need to know about it.
After a successful start to its open beta in 2022, MultiVersus saw some trouble as its player count dwindled rapidly, and in response, they shut down its servers in June 2023 to relaunch the game for a full release.
Now after its May 28, 2024 release, MultiVersus is back up and running, attracting many back to the game now that it has risen from its shut down, but does it still have crossplay and cross-progression promised back in beta?
So here is what you need to know about the game’s crossplay and cross-progression.
Does MultiVersus have crossplay & cross-progression?
Yes, MultiVersus has full crossplay and cross-progression on all platforms. This includes; PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and 4, as confirmed by Player First Games on MultiVersus’ FAQ page.

MultiVersus also has no problem with crossplay or cross-progression if you decide to switch from Steam to Epic Games, as it is all tied to your Warner Bros Games account.
By default, cross-progression is always on, so if you decide to switch to another platform, you just need to log on to your Warner Bros Games account on whatever you’re playing on and you’re ready to start playing.
In addition, if you want to play with some buddies but are on different platforms, you can play together, but you will need to enable crossplay first. This can be done by going to your settings, clicking on the online tab, and enabling crossplay from there.
Crossplay by default is always off so if you don’t turn it on, you won’t match against players or play with friends on different platforms.
