Netflix’s viral hit “Toss a Coin to Your Witcher” arrives in Beat Saber

Ever since the release of Netflix’s The Witcher series, the bard’s song “Toss a Coin to Your Witcher” has been going viral, and it has now found itself in the virtual reality smash-hit Beat Saber.

The Henry Cavill-led Netflix show The Witcher has been extremely popular among fans as they quickly binge the eight episodes of Season 1.

One of the standouts from the show is Jaskier, the bard who follows Geralt around and writes songs about him. One of the songs he performs on the show is “Toss a Coin to Your Witcher” and it has become perhaps the most popular part of the show.

Netflix’s The Witcher series has been wildly popular.

This song quickly went viral and even people who haven’t even watched the show have it stuck in their head. One fan decided to go the extra mile and mod the song in Beat Saber.

For those who don’t know, Beat Saber is a VR game that plays a lot like Rock Band or Guitar Hero with lightsabers. Players have to slash music blocks to the rhythm of a song and if they mess up too much, the song fails.

Beat Saber has its own selection of songs, but the game really comes alive through the use of mods and adding new songs that way. Players will still have to map out the song themselves, but once that’s done, players have access to hundreds of songs they didn’t think would have been possible.

Players have been going back to The Witcher 3 in droves.

There’s no telling if that will change in the future considering Oculus has purchased Beat Games, the developer of Beat Saber.

Oculus did say they would try not to change a whole lot in their FAQ about the purchase, so perhaps things will keep on running smoothly.

The popularity of the Netflix show has also driven players back to The Witcher 3 in a big way. The game has somehow managed to reach its highest number of concurrent players on Steam in 2019, four years after its release.

That’s impressive no matter which way you slice it, but it’s nearly unheard of for a single-player RPG that hasn’t received any new content in ages.

The viral song might not have everything to do with that, but it certainly played some role.
