Inflexion Games’s Nightingale has finally been released in early access. Here’s everything you need to know about the game’s release date, time, platforms, trailers, and more.

2024 is turning out to be a great year for survival games, starting with the viral release of Palworld and the RPG-infused Enshrouded, Nightingale has joined the party as a thrilling PvE experience. To top it off, you can also earn some sweet Twitch drops as a part of the celebration till February 27.

Nightingale brings a fresh perspective to the survival genre, where it’s set in a rich gaslamp Victorian setting, with players needing to venture through portals to get to the bottom of the mystery.

Fans of such games might be interested to know when was Nightingale released and on which platforms can they play their favorite game, so here’s a rundown of everything you need to know.

Nightingale release date and time

Nightingale was released in Early Access on February 20, 2024, worldwide at 5 pm GMT / 12 noon ET / 9 am PT.

The devs brought forward the launch date by two days as Nightingale was initially slated for a February 22 release.

All Nightingale platforms

At launch, Nightingale is available only on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. At the time of writing, there’s no confirmation from the devs yet if the game will have a console release down the line.

The availability only on PC at launch also eliminates crossplay and cross-progression support between different platforms, which can be a bummer for many.

How much would Nightingale cost?

You can purchase Nightingale at $29.99 with automatic regional pricing on Steam. This was confirmed through the February 15 Developer Update video on YouTube by Inflexion Games.

Here’s the official Nightingale reveal trailer during The Game Awards 2021, giving players the first-ever glimpse of the survival adventure.

Six months later, Inflexion Games released the official gameplay trailer at Summer Game Fest 2022 where we got an idea of how the game would look like while playing from a first-person perspective.

On February 16, four days before the game’s release, Inflexion Games released an extended gameplay overview video. It gives us a glimpse of the detailed character customization options, a better look at the game’s world, building and crafting, survival tips, how the combat will feel, and a lot more.

We finally had the official early access launch trailer on February 20 where we got a glimpse of the different Nightingale fauna, combat, gameplay, and overall cinematic experience of the entire survival journey and lore.

Nightingale gameplay details

In Nightingale, you delve into an open-world survival crafting experience either solo or with your friends. Being a survival game at the core means there are endless capabilities to build, craft, fight, and explore as you venture through mystical portals into a variety of amazing and fantastical realms.

The game features a third-person mode but you can also experience a multitude of realms in first-person perspective for more immersion. Nightingale has procedural map generation that throws you into uncharted dimensions and landscapes where it all boils down to the survival of the smartest.
