There’s a new PS5 Slim and some excellent deals coming from PlayStation this Black Friday. We break down the latest and our expectations for the big day.
Sony has had a busy year. Between launching the new PS5 Slim, and Portal, there’s been a bounty of games hitting the console this year. Below, you’ll find our expectations and more about Sony’s Black Friday outing this year.
PS5 console Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals
Sony’s recent PS5 Slim is being featured in some key bundles, and will slowly begin to phase out the older model. The Slim comes in both Digital and Disc versions, but the digital version can be upgraded to a full model with an optional disc drive.
While there won’t be much on discounts, the bundles themselves are money savers. However, we suspect that some stores will do lowkey sales on consoles, so we’ll be sure to keep an eye out on that.
That backward compatibility between the PS5 and PS4 is one of the better features on the console, meaning you wouldn’t be missing out on any of the latest games either.
There’s essentially $60 off all console bundles, as Spider-Man 2 bundles are now $499.99 at either Gamestop or Best Buy.
Best PS5 and PS4 games deals
Between Sony and Microsoft, the Black Friday and Cyber Monday offerings will be sizzling on both their digital and physical fronts. Sony routinely has these weirdly brilliant sales on their PSN store, allowing you to grab certain games from even the same release year for a lot less.

PlayStation Portal Black Friday deals
The new PlayStation Portal streaming handheld has just been released, and while next year it’ll probably come down in price, it’s too soon for it to be included in any deals. We’d love to be proven wrong.
Turns out, it sold out.
PlayStation accessories: The best Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals we want to see
Accessories-wise, expect about the same as we’re expecting on both Microsoft and Nintendo’s side. A lot of either cheaper, less glamorous products to flood Amazon, or expect some controller deals to happen. We’re sure that there are going to be a lot of third-party PS4 controllers on sale, but as for the DualSense? There’s currently $25 off almost every variation of the PS5 controller.
You can also see our expectations for Nintendo, Xbox, and even the wider breadth of sales happening this Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
