Sony hosted its first PlayStation State of Play of 2023 on February 23, showcasing new VR games, Suicide Squad gameplay, and more.
At long last, Sony has confirmed its plans for a brand-new PlayStation State of Play broadcast. Such an announcement comes after months of relative silence from the hardware manufacturer.
Meanwhile, both Microsoft and Nintendo have streamed events in recent weeks, showing off the likes of Minecraft Legends, Redfall, Pikmin 4, and Splatoon 3 DLC.
The State of Play finally bring new announcements from the PlayStation brand, as well. Here’s everything fans saw at the latest PlayStation showcase event.

PlayStation VR2 games
Five games for the upcoming PS VR2 – Foglands, Green Hell, Synapse, Journey to Foundation, Before Your Eyes – got trailers during the State of Play. These games are all set to release soon on the new VR system.
Destiny 2: Lightfall trailer
While there wasn’t any new information for the upcoming new expansion, the newest trailer gave Destiny 2 players a look at what exciting action is awaiting when Lightfall releases on February 28.
Tchia release date
Adorable adventure game Tchia finally got a confirmed release date for the PlayStation. The trailer showcased the cartoony graphics and March 31, 2023 release date.
March monthly game lineup

Goodbye Volcano High release date
A cinematic story game about the demise of the dinosaurs, Goodbye Volcano High’s new trailer confirmed that the game will release on June 15, 2023.
Naruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections announced
The next installment in the Ultimate Ninja Storm series, Naruto X Boruto will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the anime and will include 124 playable ninjas that appeared in Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 Road to Boruto. That means that this game will have the largest roster of heroes in the series.
Baldur’s Gate III PlayStation release date
The iconic RPG will be coming to PlayStation 5 on August 31, 2023, with a new trailer showcasing how the game will utilize the PlayStation’s graphics.
