Fashion Week (January 10 – January 19)
The Fashion Week event will feature Furfrou and other Pokemon wearing fashionable costumes, including Minccino, Cinccinno, Diglett, Kirlia, and more.

Fashion Week: Taken Over (January 15 – January 19)
The Team GO Rocket is set to take over the Fashion Week event, which will debut Shroodle and its evolution Grafaiai.
During the event, the Grunts and Rocket Leaders will feature different Shadow Pokemon, so check out the list before challenging them to a battle.
Shadow Raid Day (January 19)
Shadow Ho-Oh has been captured by the Team Go Rocket and players will have the chance to rescue it on January 19, 2025.
For the first time in Pokemon Go, Remote Raid Passes can be used to join Shadow Raids during the event and those who catch Shadow Ho-Oh might get one with higher Attack, Defense, and HP stats.
Legendary Flight (January 20 – February 9)
The three Legendary Birds from Kanto will debut their Dynamax forms with the Legendary Flight event. Starting January 20 and during the consecutive Max Mondays, Dynamax Articuno, Dynamax Zapdos, and Dynamax Moltres will appear in Power Spots.

Steeled Resolve (January 21 – January 26)
Rookidee, Corvisquire, and Corviknight will debut in Pokemon with the Steeled Resolve event, which will run for five days, giving players plenty of time to register the whole Pokemon family in their Pokedex.
The event will also feature Pokemon like Clefairy, Machop, Shieldon, Carbink, and more, so check out all the information about the Steeled Resolve event.
Community Day Classic (January 25)
The Psychic/Fairy-type Ralts has been chosen to headline the upcoming Community Day Classic on January 25, 2025.
The event will offer plenty of bonuses, and Timed Research tasks and those who evolve a Gardevoir or Gallade will get the Charged Move Synchronoise.
Lunar New Year (January 29 – February 2)
This year’s Lunar New Year event will focus mainly on Ekans, with others such as Onix, Snivy, Gyarados, and Dratini set to appear. All of which can spawn in their Shiny versions.

Below are all the events that have concluded in Pokemon Go for January 2025.
The Pokemon Go Dual Destiny season closed the year with a special event that included new Raid bosses, costumed wild spawns, as well as Field and Timed Research tasks.
The New Year’s 2025 event was celebrated from December 30, 2024, until January 1, 2025.
Fidough Fetch (January 3 – January 7)
The incredibly cute Gen 9 Pokemon, Fidough, will debut in Pokemon Go along with Dachsbun on January 3, 2025.
The event will feature Global Challenges, bonuses, Research tasks, and more. Other Pokemon such as Voltorb and Electrike, as well as fellow dog-type creatures like Growlithe, Lillipup, and Snubbull, will join them.

Sprigatito Community Day (January 5)
The January Community Day will headline the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Grass-type Starter, Sprigatito.
The cat Pokemon will appear for three hours and players who evolve it will get a Meowscarada with the Charged Move Frenzy Plant. So, if you’re planning on participating in the event, check out our Community Day guide.
Mega Gallade Raid Day (January 11)
One more Mega Evolution will join Pokemon Go during the upcoming Raid Day and it’s no other than fan-favorite Mega Gallade.
The Mega Gallade Raid Day will include an event ticket, special bonuses, and an Ultra Box that players can find in the Web Store.
Pokemon Go January 2025 Spotlight Hours
There are four Spotlight Hours to look forward to in Pokemon Go this month, which we’ve listed below:
- January 7: Voltorb & Hisuian Voltorb – 2x Catch Stardust
- January 14: Roselia – 2x Catch XP
- January 21: Paldean Wooper – 2x Catch Candy
- January 28: Yungoos – 2x Transfer Candy
Spotlight Hours take place every Tuesday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM local time and they offer some exciting bonuses. Prepare for them by stocking up on Poke Balls and clearing out your Pokemon storage.

Pokemon Go January 2025 Raid Hours
There are plenty of Raid Hours to look forward to in Pokemon Go in January, which we’ve listed below:
- January 1: Giratina Altered Forme

- January 29: Dialga

Raid Hours take place every Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM local time. During this hour, the featured Pokemon will appear more frequently in Raid Battles at Gyms.
