Potions play a crucial role in your journey through Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. Here’s your guide to finding potions and enhancing your health in the game.
Engaging with Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown means facing a series of intense challenges and enemy encounters. The bosses, especially, require a mix of intelligence and pattern mastery to conquer, and the battles can be nail-biting.
However, a really important aspect of that is how much health you have to play with. The more you have, the more forgiving your battle with bosses will be, and the more hits you can take.
Of course, if you’re a gaming god, maybe you can beat these tough challenges without getting hit (and there are some Amulets for that), but for the rest of us mortals, the more health the better. That’s why it’s important to understand the game‘s health system.
With that, here’s everything you need to know about Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown’s potions and health, and how to upgrade them.
How to increase your health in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
To increase your health, you’re going to need to collect four Soma Tree Petals or a full Soma Tree flower. These are relatively rare items, but finding them is a massive boon for your journey.
You can find full flowers that increase your health by one bar, but these are generally only given after climactic boss fights. However, you can also find petals throughout the world. Once you find four, you will make a flower, thus increasing your life.
Can you get additional Healing Potions and Potion Efficiency?
Yes. You can get more potions to heal with. To do this, you’re going to need to visit The Haven. You can reach this through the game’s Fast Travel – and you unlock it very early on. Here, you can meet The Mage. Once talking to her, select buy, then tab over to Upgrades. Here you can buy additional healing potions and potion efficiency.

These will mostly be bought with Time Crystals, though as you approach later upgrades, you may need to spend more Time Crystals alongside the harder-to-find Xeres too.
Early on, you’ll probably want to get to at least the first additional healing potion and potion efficiency. These are pretty cheap and will really help with some of the tougher boss fights at the beginning of the game.
How to increase your health further
There are also other ways to increase your overall health in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, both in terms of maxing out your total health as well as healing.
One way to get more health bars is to use the Blessing amulet. This Amulet is one of the first you will find on your journey. Its effect is pretty simple. At its base level, it will give you one extra health bar, however it is diminished after it is used up until you rest at a Wak-Wak tree. However, you can also upgrade this amulet twice, adding up to three extra health bars of temporary health to you.
There’s also another amulet you’re likely going to want to consider. The Starving Heart amulet will gradually restore your health, although it will come at the cost of weakening your melee. That said, health is king, and this does allow you to take a breather in a fight and regain your advantage. That said, it is expensive. It can only be bought by The Scrapper, who lives in the Depths.
