A developer who worked on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has hit back at people upset over how Batman was treated in the game.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been making waves for quite a few different reasons. After launching without much fanfare, players have been divided on the game’s quality, with many concerned that the live-service model doesn’t match the style of game Rocksteady was going for.
One of the big complaints being leveled at the game is how it treats the members of the Justice League, who make up the primary antagonists in the game. In particular, a boss fight with Batman and the cutscene afterward had a lot of players angry about how the hero’s “legacy” was being treated.

Additionally, veteran Batman voice actor Kevin Conway died in 2022, making his work for Suicide Squad one of his last performances as Batman. Some players wanted to see more from the performance, leading many to start attacking the game and its developers.

However, one dev who had worked at Rocksteady during the game’s development, hit back at some of the frustration online, discussing how Conway had interacted with the rest of the team.
“Kevin was our teammate and many of us worked with him directly for years. I would expect games journalists to know that, and understand how callous it is to use his memory to stoke hatred.
We do not need strangers to tell us what he would have thought. He told us himself.”
