Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Season 1 now has a release date, but players aren’t happy about how long the content is taking to arrive.
The Suicide Squad game’s seasonal content roadmap previously confirmed that the first season would begin sometime in March 2024. An Elseworlds version of the Joker will headline the update, which will feature the Clown Prince of Crime as a playable character.
Season 1 also promises new additions in the form of another playable environment, new boss fights, activities, and Riddler content.
Because Kill the Justice League didn’t get off to a great start, players were hoping the content update would go live early in March. Official details from developer Rocksteady just put those hopes to rest.
Suicide Squad: KTJL finally gets a Season 1 launch date
The official Suicide Squad: KTJL Twitter account has revealed a release date for the first season – Thursday, March 28.
This means the Joker-centric update will arrive much later in the month than the community expected. Responses to the social media post show that many players aren’t happy with the news, either.
One person replying to the post expressed concern about the user base falling away by the end of the month. “Wish it would come at the beginning of the month rather than later- lotta players gonna fall off and might not come back.”

Someone else chimed in to say, “Ufff. So a whole month without content until March 28… Well, let’s see.”
A similar remark reads, “[I] haven’t played for weeks because there is nothing to do, so another 4 weeks of nothing…?? that’s crazy.”
Meanwhile, others hope the long Season 1 wait means developers have more time to fix Suicide Squad’s various issues.
“Please please please have the game fixed by then,” one player pleaded before adding that he had trouble playing the game this past weekend with his kid.
Another fan similarly requested improvements before Season 1’s arrival, writing, “Hopefully everything is fixed by then.”
More information about the upcoming season will likely go live before it launches at the end of March.
