The nagging skill cooldown issue that has been plaguing The Division 2 since launch is now being fixed thanks to an emergency hotfix released on March 18.
The Division 2 is out now and has been with positive reviews by both critics and players alike.
Many players talk about how the sequel takes everything built with the first game and just outright improves it. It’s also arguably one of the most complete looter shooters at launch to release in quite some time.
Despite the positive reception, that doesn’t mean The Division 2 is without its flaws.
One of the major issues that has been affecting the game is a bug that would cause your skills to randomly destroy themselves and go on cooldown, which is not ideal if you’re in the middle of a fight and need to use a certain skill.
Massive Entertainment, developers of The Division 2, have made this a top priority and now it looks like a fix is finally rolling out.

This news was announced in a Ubisoft forum post that says the bugs causing skills to immediately destroy themselves and go on a 15-second cooldown will be fixed with this patch.
By the time you read this the fix should be live which means you’ll have all of your skills ready for that upcoming fight you’ve had your eyes on.
The developers say more bugs are being targeted in a future update but considering how major this one was it got pushed out before everything else.
As players wait for the patch, they are warned to avoid the talents Extra and Overlap which are deemed the culprit for all of these problems plaguing the game so far.

Maintenance – March 18th, 2019
Agents, good news! We have identified several issues that were causing skills to immediately destroy themselves and go on a 15 second cooldown. Our development team has been hard at work during the weekend and throughout today to find a fix for those problems.
We will be able to solve most of these occurrences with the brief maintenance today, March 18th at 10:15 PM CET / 5:15 PM EST / 6:15 AM KST / 8:15 ACT. The servers will be down for approximately 15 minutes and you should encounter these issues way less often from this point on.
The team is continuing their work to resolve all the remaining issues on this topic with a future patch later this week. Until then you can try to avoid the talents EXTRA and OVERLAP which seem to be the culprit and can cause skills to act up even after maintenance, albeit still much less often.
We want to thank everybody for your continued reports, your feedback and most importantly your patience. The health of the game continues to be our highest priority!
