Was the first GTA 6 radio artist just confirmed? While seemingly not quite official, hip-hop icon ScHoolboy Q just chimed in and all but announced an appearance in the highly-anticipated sequel.
Hype surrounding GTA 6 is unlike anything else. While we’ve barely seen more than a minute of official footage from the record-shattering trailer, fans are still clamoring for any scrap of intel they can get their hands on.
Beyond the historic 2022 leaks, it’s largely been radio silence. That hasn’t stopped millions from speculating over every tiny detail, however. And one such detail is the game’s ever-popular radio.
Cruising through the streets of Vice City or San Andreas is always made all the more iconic thanks to the game’s respective soundtracks. Of course, GTA 6 is sure to be no different with plenty of stations and tracks to listen to. Yet while none have been confirmed, we may now have our first taste of what’s to come.
While promoting his upcoming album Blue Lips, ScHoolboy Q teased an appearance in GTA 6. Responding to a fan on Twitter as to whether he’d be on the GTA 6 radio or now, he simply replied: “Ima on there don’t even trip [sic].”

Naturally, fans were immediately stoked by the news with plenty dropping fire emojis and hyping up the announcement. But it is worth taking the tweet with a grain of salt for now. For all we know, ScHoolboy Q may not be in direct contact with Rockstar over GTA 6, and this is nothing more than wishful thinking.
However, ScHoolboy Q does indeed have a history with the legendary gaming franchise. Multiple tracks have been featured across Radio Los Santos, iFruit Radio, and blonded Los Santos 97.8FM in GTA 5 and GTA Online. The likes of Numb Numb Juice and Collard Greens blaring on radios throughout the game.
With a 2025 release window penciled in, the wheels are certainly turning as GTA 6 draws near. We’re bound to hear plenty more about the game itself and the various radio stations as well in the coming months. But with this ScHoolboy Q comment, and earlier teases by T-Pain as well, it’s clear many big names want to get involved.
