Gang Beasts is one of the most unique co-op games on the market, and with the game available on most platforms, you’ll need a rundown on how its controls function on Xbox, PlayStation, PC, and Switch — especially if you’re playing on different devices.
With the ability to grab, climb, run, and throw others off the map it can get quite chaotic during matches in the game, so knowing exactly what the controls do on your platform of choice is ideal.
Using the details below, you’ll be knocking your pals off the map in no time in the beloved party game.
All controls in Gang Beasts
Controls for the game are quite different depending on which platform you’re playing Gang Beasts on. Below, we’ve split all of them up by platform and breakdown some important combos, so keep them handy to save you from needing to pause the game

On top of these, you can use the D-Pad to change your camera angle, as well as RT to switch your focus when spectating.
PC keyboard controls
One thing to note about playing Gang Beasts with your PC’s keyboard is that if you’re not using a mechanical keyboard, you won’t be able to press three keys at a time — something that is sometimes needed to beat your opponent.
Aside from that, the keyboard does have some advantages when you’re playing alone that we’ll go over, like being able to toggle day and night or spawn props:

How to throw & climb in Gang Beasts
To throw in Gang Beasts, you’ll first need to master grabbing with both hands: All you need to do is grab the item or person with both hands, lift them, and release the grab buttons to throw them.
It’s worth mentioning that the throw range is relatively short, too, so prepare for that or try a run and throw instead.
If you’re looking to climb, you’ll need to grab the ledge with both hands and then jump. If you want to go higher, you can always double jump. Just make sure to grab onto the wall after or you’ll just fall, and kick to get your legs up too.
