Helldivers 2 players claimed that the Eagle 500KG Airstrike is extremely underwhelming, and nearly arbitrary when compared with the other Eagle ordnances.
Helldivers 2 players must battle against huge hordes of immense and terrifying galactic foes in their goal to liberate the universe, which is no easy task.
The foes players face don’t go down without a fight and have evolved specifically to be extremely deadly in battle, so just using regular weaponry is pretty hopeless.
Luckily, players have an arsenal of stratagems, forms of extremely powerful backup ordnance, to support them in battle.
One of the most powerful Stratagems previously was the Railgun, which excelled in shredding enemy armor. It has since been nerfed and players are now searching for the next meta stratagem.
One of the stratagems that players thought would be undeniably meta left a lot of people disappointed, especially given how cool it looks. The Eagle 500kg Bomb.
Helldivers 2 fans claim 500kg bomb is too weak
One fan shared their complaints on social media and even argued that it was a completely arbitrary Airstrike:

“Hot take: In my opinion 500 KG is the worst airstrike. For what it does I don’t think it’s that good at its job. In my experience, if you want to kill bile titans, use 110 rocket pods […] If you want to clear crowds of goons go for cluster bomb,” they argued.
Despite many others also thinking that the Eagle 500kg Bomb was the “coolest looking airstrike”, they also felt it was extremely underwhelming.
“It does have a surprisingly small kill radius,” said one player. “It’s honestly only worth using if you have the ship upgrade that lets you have 2 uses,” agreed another.
Some didn’t agree that it was underwhelming most of the time, but rather just found the stratagem “hit or miss”:
“500kg can be hit or miss. I have killed 2 Titans with 1 once before. Another time the 500kg lodged itself in a titan’s ass, went off, and the titan survived.”
However, others believe that the Helldivers 2 stratagem is effective at the job it was designed for: high single-target lethality. Helldiver players can then aim the airstrike wrong, leading to only glancing bows at the target.
