Super Credits are the premium currency in Helldivers 2 and here’s how you can get them for free to access paid content from the in-game shop.
Helldivers 2 has been a viral success, going on to shatter GTA 5’s all-time player record and reach new heights on Steam. Arrowhead Game Studios’ latest sequel has been ticking off the right boxes which made Diablo 4 fans praise Helldivers 2 for monetizing the game “without greed”.
Being a live-service game, Helldivers 2 features both free and premium currency that you can use to purchase your favorite cosmetics and items from the shop. The premium currency in Helldivers 2 is known as Super Credits.
Normally, it would cost you real money to get your hands on this currency but the game is generous enough to reward its players with free Super Credits through different ways. So, here’s how to get hold of them.
How to get Super Credits for free in Helldivers 2
In Helldivers 2, there are four ways to get Super Credits for free:
- Complete the battle pass.
- Loot Blue and Red connexes.
- Loot Bunkers.
- Interact with Places of Interest during missions.
Complete the battle pass
Completing the Helldivers 2 battle pass is by far the easiest possible way to get free Super Credits. Even if you haven’t purchased the premium tier, the free tiers will have enough to stack you up with this premium currency at no extra cost.
However, be sure to keep collecting Medals as you’ll need them to claim the Super Credits from the battle pass.

Helldivers 2 has many regions filled with connexes colored in Blue and Red. Open them up using an explosive item like barrels and you’ll get Super Credits from them.
Don’t be saddened if you’re rewarded with only 10 Super Credits from these containers, as that’s the usual amount.
Loot Bunkers
Similar to connexes, there are several Bunkers spread all over the map of Helldivers 2. However, to open them up, you’ll have to team up with a friend by pressing two buttons at the same time.
Once the Bunker opens, head inside and loot Super Credits from the shelves. The good thing about Bunkers is you also get Warbond Medals, which come in handy for unlocking more Super Credits from the battle pass, so it’s absolutely worth the effort.
Interact with POIs during missions
And last but not least, interact with different Points of Interest or POIs in Helldivers 2. These places are either marked in Diamond or Question Mark (?), which means you need a close eye on the mini-map on the right-hand side of the screen.
What we’d suggest is to play Helldivers 2 in a group, because if one player picks Super Credits from a source, all the other members get credited as well. In this way, you’ll have a ton of premium currency for free within a short span.
