Will there be a Hogwarts Legacy 2?
Yes, a follow-up to Hogwarts Legacy is in the works. While it may have seemed obvious from the jump, given the first game’s immense commercial success, it wasn’t until September 4, 2024 we heard official confirmation.
Warner Bros. Discovery’s Gunnar Wiedenfels was first to speak publicly on the idea of a sequel, confirming without question a “successor” to Hogwarts Legacy is “one of the biggest priorities.”
However, fans shouldn’t hold their breath in waiting for more news. Wiedenfels then added the sequel could still be “a couple of years down the road.”
Since 2025 is such a massive year for gaming, with tons of new releases like Borderlands 4, Civilization 7, Dune Awakening, Fable, and so much more, it would make sense for Hogwarts Legacy to release around 2026 or 2027. After all, a game as expansive as Hogwarts Legacy will take plenty of time to craft and perfect.
