Honkai Star Rail 2.6 is finally here and there’s a lot of exciting content for fans to dive into. We’ve got a full rundown of everything in the update below, including banners, events, and new location details.
Headlining the Honkai Star Rail 2.6 update is Rappa, a new 5-star Imaginary character who’s a member of the Erudition Path. Rappa is oozing with style and uses her colorful attacks to exploit her enemy’s weakness.
There’s also a whole new location to explore – Penacony Paperfold University College. The college is located in the Moment of Sol and features plenty of new POIs for players to check out.
Honkai Star Rail 2.6 release date
The Honkai Star 2.6 update went live on October 23, 2024.
An end date hasn’t been revealed yet but based on the game’s typical update cycle, we expect it to end around December 3, 2024, ahead of version 2.7.
Banners
Unlike past Honkai Star Rail updates, Version 2.6 only includes one new character – the 5-star Imaginary unit Rappa.
As a member of the Galaxy Rangers, Rappa is no stranger to a tough fight. In fact, the colorful character is currently pursuing Evil Ninja Osaru, a new villain that has her searching across the very edges of the cosmos.
Phase 1
Rappa will be available to pull for in the Phase 1 ‘Eyes of a Ninja‘ banner, and Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae can also be obtained via a rerun banner.
The 4-star units available in both banners are as follows:
Phase 2
Phase 2 of 2.6 will include the 5-star units Aventurine and Acheron, alongside these 4-stars:
New location: Penacony Paperfold University College
In Honkai Star Rail version 2.6, players can return to Penacony and explore a brand new location – Penacony Paperfold University College.

The college can be found in the Moment of Sol and is known for producing exceptionally talented individuals. You can attend the university alongside characters like March 7th and Dan Heng, and meet with Mr Reca, the leading examiner.
The Trailblaze Continuinance mission – Banana Outrage: Battles Without Ninja and Humanity will task fans with uncovering the mysteries surrounding the cute mechanized monkeys that have cropped up in Penacony Paperfold University College.
Alongside missions, there are plenty of NPCs to interact with, and chests to find throughout the school.
New Relics
Two new Relic sets have been introduced in 2.6. The Sacerdos’ Relived Ordeal and Scholar Lost In Erudition. The set bonus for these are:
- Scholar Lost In Erudition
- 2-pc: Increases CRIT Rate by 6%.
- 4-pc: Increases DMG dealt by Ultimate and Skill by 20%. After using Ultimate, additionally increases the damage dealt by the next Skill by 20%.
- Sacerdos’ Relived Ordeal
- 2-pc: Increases SPD by 6%.
- 4-pc: When using Skill or Ultimate on one Parry target, increase the target’s CRIT DMG by 20% for 2 turns. The effect can stack up to 2 times.
Simulated Universe DLC
Version 2.6 also introduces the third Simulated Universe DLC, following Swarm Disaster and Gold and Gears. This time, a massive void called the Unknowable Domain has emerged within it.
In this update, players will need to collect Scepters and enhance them with Components to strengthen their abilities.
Trailblazers can strategically combine multiple Scepters and Components to unlock powerful synergies, which can be used to take down the final boss.
Events
There are a handful of limited-time events for fans to enjoy in version 2.6, including:
- Sound Hunt Ninjutsu Inscription: Rythm challenges that will be available between October 25th and December 2nd. Players will need to be at least Trialblaze Level 21 to partake in the events. Completing the different challenges will grant you unique rewards such as the ‘Ninja Record: Sound Hunt’ Light Cone.
- Mr. Cold Feet’s Pop-Up Shop: Give any spare materials you find to Sampo and you’ll be rewarded with Stellar Blade, and character EXP among other things. Must be at least Trialblaze Level 21 to take part. This event runs between October 31st – November 11th.
- Planet Fissure: Planar Ornaments drop event where you can get double the rewards when challenging Worlds in the Simulated Universe between November 6th – November 13th.
- Garden of Plenty: Players can obtain double the rewards from Calyx (Golden) and Calyx (Crimson) from November 22nd and November 29th.
- Shadow of the Ranger: An event focused on Boothill where you need to assign different characters to work towards gathering rewards including Stellar Jade, Credits, and EXP materials. Players must be at least Trialblaze Level 21 before they can take part. Runs between November 13th and December 2nd.
- Gift Of Odyssey: A check-in event where you’ll be rewarded with 10 Star Rail Passes as long as you log in for 7 days (this doesn’t have to be consecutive) before it ends on December 3rd.
