The Honkai Star Rail community has placed Sparkle in S-tier alongside other popular Amplifiers like Bronya and Ruian Mei. So, why is this new 5-star so strong?
Sparkle is the latest Honkai Star Rail banner character that is causing waves within the game’s community. This is largely down to the 5-star character’s ability to increase her team’s maximum Skill Points, which makes for more deadly combat opportunities.
If that wasn’t exciting enough, her unique Skill not only boosts the CRIT DMG of a teammate but also advances forwards that unit’s action. Meanwhile, after Sparkle unleashes her Ultimate, she can restore multiple Skill Points for the team in one go.
Essentially, this mischievous Quantum character enables players to break free from the limitation of the game’s Skill Point system, to make some incredibly lethal plays. It’s because of this, that the Honkai Star Rail community is going wild for her release.
Honkai Star Rail players love new S-tier character
“I mean ofc she is [S-tier], she is the second character so far that breaks one of the game’s rules ( skill points limits in her case ), the first one was Silverwolf that made you not care about weaknesses, explained one player. “Oh and a Bronya lite on her skill if that wasn’t broken enough.”

Many Trailblazers have noted Sparkle has similarities to Bronya, in that she is a harmony buffer, but the community believes Sparkle’s added damage potential and overall team synergy gives her take the crown.
“You spam skill every rotation and still come out with +1 SP every 3 turns, while Bronya needs E1 S1 in 3 turns to break even, which too is RNG,” explained one player. “Also with extra SP your supports can spam more skills for more energy, and more skills [in general] so not only Sparkle, but the entire team feels wayyyyyy smoother.”
While Prydwen’s Honkai Star Rail tier list has placed Sparkle in S-tier, it’s important to note that Bronya remains an S-tier choice, even if Sparkle’s ease of use and very limited drawbacks give her the edge.
