The livery for Kick’s Sauber C44 Formula 1 car for 2024 has finally been unveiled as the streaming site has taken over as the team’s main sponsor, but fans aren’t sold at all on the striking new look.
Prior to the start of the 2023 Formula 1 season, Alfa Romeo Sauber announced a partnership with Stake – the online casino site that typically deals in cryptocurrency.
In that, it was also revealed that Kick – the Stake-backed streaming site – would be a part of that partnership. The streaming site replaced Stake’s logo and branding in races where gambling partners are prohibited – such as Australia. They even took a few shots at Twitch while temporarily replacing Stake, too.
However, for the 2024 season, the Sauber team has dropped the Alfa Romeo branding and been renamed as Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber.
Kick F1 team 2024 livery revealed and the internet hates it
Naturally, Stake and Kick are all over the car and driver suits for the 2024 season, which means that the typical regal red, white, and deep green Alfa colors have been replaced by the striking green of Kick.
The team revealed their new livery and car for the 2024 season on February 5, and it’s safe to say that fans are not in love with it. “If Shrek was in F1,” one fan commented. “Looks like an f1 game livery lmao. ASS!,” another added.

“I’m honestly impressed they managed to make something so unfathomably bad. Bravo,” commented another disappointed fan. “It’s giving slime.”
Some fans have praised it for being “unique” and away from the darker colors that have started to dominate the F1 grid in the last two years.
“The car looks great honestly but the suits are just hot trash,” another fan said after seeing the striking green and black race suits that Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu will don on track next year.
It’ll be hard to confuse the cars with anything else next season, which is surely a positive for Kick regardless.
