Twitch streamer DisguisedToast demonstrated a Teamfight Tactics strategy that allows Lucian to deal immense amounts of damage.
DisguisedToast is best known as a top streamer and player in Hearthstone, but since the release of Teamfight Tactics he’s also established himself as one of the best players in the League of Legends-based autobattler, finishing second in Pokimane’s TFT tournament.
During a recent stream, he showed of a strategy which sees a level two Lucian as the primary carry champion, stacked up with two Statikk Shivs and a Blade of the Ruined King.
Each Statikk Shiv causes every third attack to deal splash damage to nearby enemy champions as well as his primary target, while the Blade of the Ruined King makes Lucian count as a Blademaster.
It’s not just the items that this strategy relies on, however, as the trait bonuses of the composition also empower Lucian. With four Gunslingers on the field, Lucian has a 50% chance of also attacking every enemy in range with each shot.
Meanwhile, the Blade of the Ruined King means Lucian benefits from the Blademaster bonus, with the three in the composition meaning that Blademasters have a 35% chance on hit of performing an additional attack.
The result of all of these bonuses stacked together is that Lucian unleashes a maelstrom of damage on all targets in range, annihilating the enemy team and dealing a mindblowing 7518 damage in just a few seconds.

This match did take place on the Public Beta Environment (PBE) as DisguisedToast was testing out upcoming content, so some of the numbers may differ slightly from the current live servers, although it doesn’t rely on anything that’s not already in the game.
As with any strategy that relies on stacking items on a particular champion, this approach does require a certain degree of luck when it comes to drops or carousel picks, with each Statikk Shiv being made up of a Recurve Bow and Tear of the Goddess, while the Blade of the Ruined King demands a B.F. Sword and a Spatula, one of the rarer basic items.
The strategy also leans heavily on the Gunslinger and Blademaster trait bonuses, so you’ll also need an appropriate composition to pull it off, meaning it’s likely to be more of a situational tactic than something you can reliably aim for.
This isn’t the only example of a strategy built around a single hyper-carry, with fellow streamer Scarra recently demonstrating an approach that involves stacking items on Akali to allow her to one-shot multiple enemies at a time.
Teamfight Tactics is still very much in its infancy, and players are still figuring out the best ways to play it, but it seems there are a variety of ways to empower individual champions for massive amounts of burst damage.
