Augments are returning for TFT Set 7, and Riot are freshening things up around all of the new Draconic content. Here’s the major changes to the mechanic you need to know, and all the new choices on offer.
After a very successful launch in TFT Set 6, Hextech Augments are here to stay in the League of Legends autobattler.
Riot is giving the popular system a big overhaul for TFT Set 7 as the Convergence shifts over to the Dragonlands. That means more than 100 new choices to pick from, as well as major changes the developers are using to test the long-term viability of the mechanic.
Here’s what you need to know about all the Draconic Augment changes in TFT Set 7, including all those new options.
What are Augments in TFT Set 7?
Hextech Augments were introduced as part of TFT Set 6 and the Gizmos & Gadgets expansion late in 2021. They power-up your board in Teamfight Tactics with specific bonuses ranging from more battle stats to an economy boost, and everything in between.
Players are presented with three Augment shops across the game. Each shop will contain three Augments of the same rarity: Silver, Gold, and Prismatic. Players can pick one to buff up their board with. Each player in the game will get the same rarity of choices to select from.
Draconic Augment changes for TFT Set 7
There are three major changes for Draconic Augments players need to be aware about heading into TFT Set 7 — besides the name.

The first is the addition of Augment rerolls. Players will be given one reroll to use across the game. If you get a selection of dud Augments, you can try your luck — for free — to get something more useful. Use it wisely though as you only get one.
The second is a shift in the Augment selection timings. They will now be offered at 2-1, 3-2, and 4-2. This means players aren’t forced to make a decision before locking in their openers in Stage 1, and a struggling player doesn’t have to survive until Stage 4-6 to have a chance at a comeback.
The third and final one is a change in Augment rarity priorities. Instead of Silver Augments being the default, Riot have shifted that to Gold. This allows them to better balance all three tiers as Silver ones can be slightly worse, and Prismatic ones slightly better rather than a huge jump.
All new Draconic Augments for TFT Set 7
Below are lists of all the new Draconic Augments in TFT Set 7. Note these aren’t the only ones — only the ones Riot have added for Dragonlands, with some transferring over from Set 6 to Set 7.
