League of Legends star Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok has announced that he will be making an incredibly generous gesture with his stream revenue in October.
The SK Telecom T1 player is planning to donate his entire stream revenue for the month to the United Nations Foundation, the charitable branch of the global organization.
He has also promised to take part in more charity-related events in the future, in an effort to use his immense fame and success to help raise money and awareness for great causes that he believes are worth supporting.
The mid-laner also recently wore clothes on stream from the United Nations Children’s Fund in an effort to provide the charity with publicity. The UN Children’s Fund, also known as UNICEF, provides relief and support to children around the world who are suffering from ill health or incredible poverty.

The three-time League of Legends World Champion will be streaming throughout October, as his SK Telecom T1 side watch from the sidelines as this year’s World Championships take place.

Faker said that the stream revenue for October would be donated to the United Nations, and that he’d participate more in charity events.

Faker and his squad finished fourth in the eighth season of the League of Legends Champions Korea, failing to qualify for the 2018 World Championships.
While it’s unfortunate that Faker and his squad will not be competing at this years Worlds, it’s great to see the League of Legends star use his incredible fame, and free time, to do something for charity and people in need.
