Jankos then revealed his thoughts behind the final itself, stating that as a team G2 “couldn’t beat FPX unless we changed our fundamentals.” Citing their greedy playstyle as a core problem that was punished by the Chinese.
Another key difference he noted between the two teams was the level of teamwork. He claimed that the FunPlus Phoenix squad have impeccable teamwork, which they used to tear G2 apart, especially the jungler and support.
The Polish player then conceded that FPX were better and deserved the win, saying “what can I say? They were better… they deserved the trophy.”
However, he didn’t give up on G2. Jankos explained that they will stick together and come back stronger for next year. Stating that the team believes they are capable of winning the Worlds title and will be coming for it in 2020.
