With the 2023 League of Legends season looming, multiple teams in the LEC and LCS have shuffled their rosters. Here’s our guide to all offseason roster moves for Western League of Legends.
The 2022 competitive season for League of Legends has come to a close following the end of the World Championship. For some of the LEC and LCS teams that didn’t make it to the showpiece event, changes began as soon as the domestic season came to an end. But the rumour mill only started churning like crazy during Worlds as a number of big-name teams began pondering their options for 2023 after faltering at the event.
Over in the LCS, 100 Thieves overhauled their squad and brought in two veterans in Bjergsen and Doublelift, while Team Liquid assembled a Korean-speaking roster featuring Worlds-winning jungler Pyosik. But perhaps the biggest winner of the off-season was FlyQuest, who have built their strongest lineup ever with two Korean imports (mid laner VicLa and AD Carry Prince).
On the LEC side of things, Fnatic raised eyebrows with the return of Rekkles, while G2 Esports brought back Mikyx and signed rookie jungler Yike and AD Carry Hans Sama. LEC Summer champions Rogue, now playing as KOI following a merger between the two organisations, made only a change in the top lane, replacing veteran Odoamne with Szygenda.
