Patch 13.21 isn’t quite as hefty as 13.20, but, with Nexus Blitz returning along with some big balance changes, there’s a lot to look forward to in this League of Legends patch.
The previous patch in League of Legends contained some big changes. Whilst patch 13.20 was a bit of a buggy mess on launch, it made a great deal of changes to runes, starter items, several champions, and more. It’s likely the biggest patch we’ll see until Season 14 starts rolling out.
So, patch 13.21 is meant to bring some of the changes they made last patch in line while also introducing a few new ideas. While making Brand’s jungle clear some of the best clear out of League’s roster may have been a strange addition, it’s hard to say how it’ll affect the meta.
Here are the full patch 13.21 notes:
When does LoL Patch 13.21 go live?
League of Legends Patch 13.21 is expected to go live on 25 October, 2023, according to Riot’s patch schedule. Patch 13.21 will head to Oceanic servers first, with other servers slowly receiving it throughout the day.
Here are the key timings of Patch 13.21 for your server:
- 3 AM PT (NA)
- 5 AM GMT (EUW)
- 3 AM CET (EUNE)
- 8 AM KST (Korea)
There’ll be a few hours of downtime when patching begins, and matchmaking queues will be taken offline about three hours beforehand.
What’s changing in LoL Patch 13.21?
K’Sante, Caitlyn & Jinx changes
Caitlyn & Jinx, two ADCs that have been particularly strong on this patch, are getting some nerfs this patch. Jinx’s infinitely stacking attack speed increase passive is getting trimmed down to keep it from being game-breaking in certain scenarios, and Cait’s getting some nerfs to her prominent one-shot lethality build.
K’Sante, meanwhile, is getting some love after his rework. His rework didn’t change any of his core abilities completely, but it did change the way his abilities interact with each other and how much damage he does. This rework was meant to nerf the champion, so he’s received some buffs to bring him into a better place.
Mage Jungler changes
Riot is also looking to make some adjustments to several mage champions so that they can have improved viability in the jungle. Morgana, Brand, and Zyra are getting changes that may end up making them viable junglers (or, in Morgana’s case, more viable than before).
Seraphine gets pushed into the support role
Seraphine was designed to be a support champion, but she’s always been most effective as either an “ADC” or a mid laner. The changes on this patch are meant to shift her power away from those roles and more toward the role she was intended to play.
Nexus Blitz returns!
Nexus Blitz is coming back to League of Legends. Though the mode was once thought to be gone forever, it’s making a comeback in Riot’s ongoing effort to keep League fresh as game modes are swapped out.
What’s more, there are a good few changes specific to Nexus Blitz you may want to read up on before jumping into the mode for the first time. Those changes will be located below the initial set of balance changes on the patch, or you can just jump right to them by clicking here.

Nexus Blitz
Nexus Blitz has a much faster pace than Summoner’s Rift, so some balance changes specific to the mode are coming pre-loaded with the patch. Here’s a full list of mode-specific balance adjustments you can expect.
Previous Nexus Blitz balance changes reset
Any previous Nexus Blitz adjustments have been fully reset. It’s been a while since the mode was last live, so Riot’s approaching its return with a clean slate. Any changes you may remember from the mode’s previous iteration are gone, so just assume the baseline we’re working with is based on Summoner’s Rift.
Jungle Pets
- Number of camps needed to evolve jungle pets has been halved: 20 >>> 10 for first evolution, 40 >>> 20 for second
- Players no longer get bonus treats after their jungle pet has been upgraded
Jungle Camps
Due to players getting access to gold and experience at a much faster rate than the typical League match on Summoner’s Rift, jungle camp HP has been increased across the board.
- Scuttler Health: 2800-9520 >>> 3400-11560
- Ancient Krug Health: 1300-3055 >>> 1650-3878
- Krug Health: 600-1410 >>> 900-2115
- Mini Krugs Health: 50-118 >>> 80-188
- Greater Murk Wolf Health: 2000-4700 >>> 2400-5640
- Murk Wolves Health: 600-1410 >>> 800-1880
- Sir Gromp Health: 2000-4700 >>> 2400-5640
- Crimson Raptor Health: 1250-2937 >>> 1600-3760
- Raptors Health: 500-1175 >>> 700-1645
