Patch 14.3 for League of Legends brings more changes to the MOBA, including a mini rework to Aurelion Sol and nerfs to damage coming from the reworked items.

The third patch of Season 2024 is quickly approaching, with the League of Legends developers looking to take another swing at balancing the title. The game saw major shifts in balance thanks to the removal of the mythic system, the new map, and new jungle camps which severely changed up the meta for the title.

Patch 14.3 looks to rectify some of these issues champions have been facing in the new season, with a new mini-rework for Aurelion Sol. Alongside the balance changes, Riot is looking to nerf the burstiness of several items, hopefully letting players survive the immense damage output of the new items.

When does League Patch 14.3 go live?

League of Legends Patch 14.3 is expected to go live on February 7, 2024, according to Riot’s patch schedule. Patch 14.3 will head to Oceanic servers first, with other servers slowly receiving it throughout the day.

Here are the key timings of Patch 14.3 for your server:

  • 3 AM PT (NA)
  • 5 AM GMT (EUW)
  • 3 AM CET (EUNE)
  • 8 AM KST (Korea)

There’ll be a few hours of downtime when patching begins, and matchmaking queues will be taken offline about three hours beforehand.

What’s changing in LoL Patch 14.3?

Mini Aurelion Sol rework

Aurelion Sol is receiving a bit of a minor rework in Patch 14.3. The devs are looking to shift his strength to the early game so that his gameplay no longer revolves around spamming his E on minions at his tower. This should give him more agency to take control of the early game, rather than just have him permanently scale.

Burst Item nerfs

League of Legends has become rather bursty since the introduction of the new items in Season 2024. Riot doesn’t enjoy seeing players get obliterated by a Stormsurge proc, so they’re nerfing the amount of damage coming from items so that players pilot champions rather than the items they buy.
