LoL 2025 rostermania: Every LTA, LEC, LPL, LCP & LCK roster change

lcs-2024-trophyStefan Wisnoski/Riot Games

2025 is a big year for competitive League of Legends, with the LCS being dissolved for the sake of creating two new Americas Leagues in the LTA merger. Things are going to get spicy in the off-season.

  • MAD Lions ditched Fresskowy just after they dropped out of Worlds 2024, with the team publicly pleading for jojopyun to join them. This, somehow, worked.
  • A wealthy Chinese investor has bought out Invictus Gaming, and he’s rumored to be trying to spend big and get the 2018 Worlds-winning iG roster together
  • The LTA merger has created the North and South conferences, creating a whole slew of new and returning teams in a format entirely new for both regions
  • T1’s roster is looking to stick together

The LTA merger has been made official, with the LTA North and South teams being formed. A number of teams didn’t survive the transition, with the South American leagues especially getting condensed. Meanwhile, almost every LCK team is making changes, G2 is broken up, and LPL salary caps put most teams at risk of having to shuffle around their funds.

This might end up being the most insane off-season in League of Legends history.

Here’s every roster swap we know of so far, as well as what the final teams look like going into 2025 for the LCS (now LTA North), LTA South, LEC, LCK, LCP and LPL.

Which LCS teams are leaving in the LTA merger?

100 Thieves, Immortals, and NRG are all out of the LTA as a result of the merger. However, 100T won’t be leaving quite yet, with the team taking up a provisional guest slot after selling their franchise spot back to Riot.

That said, they won’t have a way back into the league after 2025. The team has one last year to make their mark before they’re gone for the forseeable future. Plus, hey, we get Disguised in the main league now, though they’re only getting a guest slot that they’ll have to fight to keep.

  • After being bought out by a wealthy Chinese investor who was a big fan of the 2018 Worlds winning roster, Invictus Gaming is trying to bring back the roster that won Worlds that year: TheShy, Ning, Rookie, JackeyLove, Baolan. The LPL is implementing a salary cap in 2025 and JackeyLove is likely to have a big buyout from Top Esports, so he may be hard to sign.
  • According to FMKorea rumors, Gen.G are considering dropping Peyz and signing Ruler. Meanwhile, KT is also considering Ruler, but may sign Peyz instead if Gen.G drops him. The situation with both teams is uncertain.
