Lucian and Senna will be the next champions added to Teamfight Tactics in a new class for Rise of the Elements called Soulbound, alongside a new Inferno unit in Patch 9.24.
Teamfight Tactics Set 2 hit live a couple of weeks ago, giving players the chance to test out all the new units and get used to the new items and board interactions.
With the meta now settled in, Riot are now throwing a curveball into the mix. New champions and an entirely new class will enter the fray with Senna, Lucian, and Amumu expected to join the TFT lineup for Patch 9.24.
Senna will unite with Lucian in a new class for Teamfight Tactics Set 2.Senna and Lucian will be part of the new Soulbound class, which will become active at two units. Soulbound units will enter the Spirit Realm instead of dying if their partner is alive, continuing to fight as usual until the other Soulbound dies.
Senna will be a two-cost Shadow-Soulbound unit, and her Piercing Darkness ability will be ported over from Summoner’s Rift. She fires a beam through her furthest ally, dealing damage to enemies and buffing allies’ on-hit damage in a line.
While Senna’s introduction provides a bit more utility in a high-damage meta early, it can also allow you to get Shadow buff online incredibly early. With Malzahar, Senna, Kindred, Veigar, and Sion available for under three-cost, it’s now even easier to get four Shadow units on board.

Lucian is now a four-cost Light-Soulbound, instead of his old one-cost Light-Gunslinger in Set 1. He now will activate The Culling as his ability, firing at four times his normal attack speed, dealing magic damage based off his AD and applying on-hit abilities.
He will be a new late-game Light unit carry, and open up some more options for Light players at the six-unit buff timing instead of relying on carry Vayne every game.
Finally, Amumu will be joining the Teamfight Tactics roster in Patch 9.24 as a five-cost Inferno-Warden. His ability, Curse of the Sad Mummy, will lock everyone up across the map and deal a ton of damage.
He will provide some tankiness to an otherwise incredibly squishy Inferno origin, and some more late-game power which the origin desperately needed.
Senna, Lucian, and Amumu will be joining the TFT roster in Patch 9.24, which is expected to drop on December 3.
