League of Legends iconic mascot Teemo saw major nerfs in Patch 14.2, resulting in his win rate plummeting to nigh unplayable levels.
Patch 14.2 has just hit the live servers in League of Legends. The second update of Season 2024 saw some major shifts to the MOBA, with many champions receiving buffs to improve their stats after the start of the new season. Especially with the inclusion of new items, new map changes, and new jungle camps, the roster saw a huge shake-up in power.
Conversely, some champions gained a huge amount of power thanks to the new items. Items like Stormsurge and Bloodsong made AP champions and ADCs incredibly powerful, allowing them to dish out ridiculous levels of burst damage that have never been seen before.
One winner of the new items was top laner Teemo, who benefitted massively from items like Malignance and Liandry’s. Since Teemo became the king of the top lane, Riot took a swing at some of his power in Patch 14.2, which saw the poor Yordle’s win rate plummet to abysmal levels.
Teemo win rate plummets after major nerfs in patch 14.2
According to League of Legends stat site OP.GG, Teemo was sitting at a comfortable 52.76% win rate globally before the newest patch. Now with the nerfs, Teemo has dropped all the way to a 46% win rate, placing him in the lower tiers of champions.

The Yordle saw nerfs across the board, with his E’s AP ratio losing out on 5%. Alongside this, his ultimate, Noxious Trap had its cooldown bumped up by 5 seconds across all ranks, significantly chipping away at his power in lane.
Picking Teemo at the moment could definitely be considered as griefing your team thanks to his terrible win rate, as picking the champion automatically puts you at a statistical disadvantage when loading into the game.
It’s uncertain if Riot will throw some love to the Yordle in the form of a hotfix, but until that time it’s best to steer clear of the rodent.
