100 Thieves have confirmed the signing of Choi ‘Huhi’ Jae-hyun to their League of Legends roster for the 2019 season, with former world champion Bae ‘Bang’ Jun-sik also expected to join.
Mid-laner Huhi reunites with his former teammate Zaqueri ‘aphromoo’ Black, which fans will remember as a formidable duo under CLG for over two years, and are known to be close friends.
Moving on from CLG after three years of service, Huhi has also now moved permanently to the US, after obtaining his green card in July and Riot granting him immediate residency per the interregional movement policy.
Welcome @Huhi as our starting League of Legends Mid Laner for the 2019 season. He brings a unique energy & perspective to our team. We’re so excited to have him a part of 100 Thieves and can’t wait to see him in action next year! #100T

Two time world champion Bang has not been officially announced by 100 Thieves yet, but EPSN reports that it is a done deal as he joins other Korean speakers Kim ‘Ssumday’ Chan-ho (who just signed a 2-year contract extension) and Huhi.
Bang will replace the outgoing Cody Sun and Samuel “Rikara” Oh, with the former linked with a move to rivals OpTic Gaming.

The Korean’s contract with SK Telecom T1 expired on Monday, November 19, closing the curtain on five years of service. In response to ESPN’s report that he is joining 100 Thieves, Bang said on Twitter “Really?? :)”

With Huhi coming in, former mid-laner Ryu ‘Ryu’ Sang-wook is taking up a position as Assistant Coach.
Due to Huhi’s North American residency status, 100 Thieves are using their two import slots on Ssumday and Bang, with aphromoo and Andy “AnDa” Hoang rounding out the roster.
One potential hurdle for this team will be the language barrier that exists between support and ADC, with Bang reportedly only equipped with very limited English as he takes his first step onto the NA LCS stage.
