Zonai devices can be used to craft incredible structures to explore Hyrule faster. However, most of them will require the Steering Stick as it is the one that controls direction, so here’s where you can find this piece of gear in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
There are some great new additions to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, including the Ultrahand ability which allows players to move objects and combine them to create all kinds of vehicles from cars to hovercrafts, and even airships.
Before you can start speeding around Hyrule however, you’ll need to find a Steering Stick to maneuver your vehicles. So, here’s exactly where you can find it in the game.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Steering Stick location
The Steering Stick is found in the southeast of Necluda Sky Archipelago, on the Kumamayn Shrine island. The Device Dispenser is on the south of the island and is instantly accessible in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

However, we recommend defeating the Flux Construct mini-boss, as it drops the crystal needed to activate the Kumamayn Shrine. Once you have successfully defeated the Flux Construct, grab the green crystal and use the springboard on the island to launch it back to the shrine.
By doing this, you’ll be able to easily teleport back here when you need more Zonai devices like the Steering Stick, Cannon, Small Wheel, and Light.
Other Steering Stick locations include:
- Inside the rings of Valor Island
- In Torin Wetland, near the road towards Tarrey Town
- In North Hyrule Sky, on the cross-shaped island near Mayam Shrine
That’s where you can get the Steering Stick in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Learn more about the Sky Islands and Zonaite here, and use our guides to pinpoint every Dragon Tear Geoglyph and Skyview Tower location.
