LEGO is about to get a lot more fantastic thanks to an upcoming collaboration with Dungeons & Dragons.
LEGO is pretty well known for its massive range of licensed collaborations. Star Wars, Marvel, Harry Potter, Lamborghini. The list goes on.
Over the years the company has managed to publish sets for every type of nerd except one. Not for long though.
As part of Dungeons & Dragons’ 50-year anniversary, The LEGO Group has announced a partnership with the perennial RPG. In a short teaser, LEGO revealed that new D&D-themed sets were coming to the LEGO Ideas range.
The teaser showed a short clip of a bunch of little LEGO goodies trapped in a deadly Gelatinous Cube. The skeleton Minifigure was a nice touch given that Gelatinous Cubes are famed for their acidic properties that melt the flesh of adventurers foolish enough to be trapped by one.
There are next to no details on the collaboration as of yet but it follows a competition held all the way back in 2022 where builders submitted their ideas for D&D-themed LEGO sets. The winner of that contest was an incredibly creative build by BoltBuilds called the Dragon’s Keep: Journey’s End.

It functioned as a modular D&D map that players could switch up and use in campaigns on the tabletop. Fans have speculated that any sets in the collaboration could potentially be used for running D&D sessions.
A LEGO D&D campaign sounds pretty cool to us. Here’s hoping that the execution is as good as what BoltBuilds showed off in 2022.
Over the last few years, D&D has undergone something of a pop-cultural renaissance. Moving from the fringes of geek culture into mainstream attention thanks to properties like Stranger Things, Rick & Morty, Baldur’s Gate 3, and more.
A LEGO collaboration is sure to get more people talking about the tabletop RPG. We’ll update you with more details about the LEGO D&D collab as they emerge.
