League of Legends fans were given their first taste of the 2020 World Championship as the Play-in stage kicked off on September 25, delivering plenty of surprising upsets in the process.
With all teams locked in for groups and the focus now on the matches ahead, Top Esports looks to be one of the favorites to win the entire championship, following impressive carry performances from mid-laner Zhuo ‘Knight’ Ding in LPL’s 2020 summer split.
However, there will be plenty of other teams looking to challenge the LPL champions, including the likes of JD Gaming, DAMWON, and G2 Esports, who fell short in last year’s final, who are also competing in the event.
