Mister Fantastic has finally arrived in Marvel Rivals, as part of the game’s first major season: Eternal Night Falls – but in order to be truly fantastic, you’ll need to fully understand how the character works.
Marvel Rivals may have over 30 different characters to play, but few are as versatile as Mister Fantastic. This deadly new fighter has quickly descended on players and is already proving to be a formidable enemy to come up against thanks to his elasticity and powerful attacks.
However, before you stretch on over to this new character, you’ll need to understand as much as you can about him, from his weapons, ability, best team comp, and of course, the ideal counters.
Mister Fantastic stats in Marvel Rivals
- Class: Duelist
- Health: 350
- Movement: 6 m/s
Compared to the likes of Wolverine, Hawkeye, and the Winter Soldier, Mister Fantastic has a fair amount of health for a Duelist, making him almost the equivalent of a Duelist tank.
Luckily, he’s not too tricky to play and comes with the right health and attacks to make him truly formidable in most roles.
Weapons
Mister Fantastic’s primary weapons are, unsurprisingly, his own stretchy body. He uses his fists to perform a Stretch Punch, which acts as a sort of ranged melee attack, working well for any situation you come up against.
His Stretch Punch stats can be found below:

Abilities
Along with his punches, Mister Fantastic is able to entangle enemies, throw them into the air, gain a shield, or even leap up and smash into the ground thanks to his abilities.

How to Play Mister Fantastic
Mister Fantastic is much tankier than your standard DPS hero, but don’t let that fool you into believing he can face tank an entire team. He does require a bit more finesse than that, and you’ll usually want to keep enemies at mid-range rather than having them be up close.
This hero is at his best when he’s operating out of the range of melee heroes. Against shield tanks like Doctor Strange and Magneto, he’s elite. What’s more, he can swipe at multiple enemies. His Elastic Punch doesn’t just work like a typical melee attack.
Once you toss a punch out there, you can whip it around and deal damage. You’ll want to think less about him in terms of pinpoint accuracy and more about making broad strokes and hitting as many enemies as possible.
Mister Fantastic is also great at watching out for his backline. Keep an eye out for your backliners and use Reflexive Rubber to keep them from getting obliterated. Nothing quite like tossing Iron Man‘s ult right back at him.
Best team comp
- Invisible Woman
- Venom
- The Punisher
- Cloak & Dagger
Invisible Woman
Thanks to Mister Fantastic’s Team-Up ability, one of the best pairings for the character has to go to the Invisible Woman.
Not only is his survivability heightened, but Mister Fantastic is essentially able to tank most of the damage, while Invisible Woman protects him. If things get a little intense, then she can make him invisible and they can get to safety while both recover.
Check out our Invisible Woman guide for more details on the character.
Venom
Given Mister Fantastic is a mid-ranged fighter, you’ll want to choose diving Vanguards to protect the Duelist as he fights. Venom is perfect for this. He often manages to hold the attention of the enemy team and expertly tanks the hits on the frontline.
Simply stay behind Venom and eliminate any enemies that get close, given your high attack and health, this shouldn’t be a problem.
Check out our Venom guide for more details on the character.
The Punisher
Pairing up your Duelist, you’ll want to choose The Punisher. His mid and close-ranged weapons are perfect for any scenario and can perfectly complement Mister Fantastic’s fighting style.
Simply play Punisher in the same way as you would with Mister Fantastic, tanking hits and dealing tons of damage at a mid-range.

Cloak & Dagger
While Invisible Woman is the best Strategist you can pair with Mister Fantastic, there’s always the option of Cloak and Dagger, who can heal him from a distance, while also dealing damage in combat when needed.
Thanks to their invisibility and damage, Cloak and Dagger make a perfect team when combined with Mister Fantastic, just keep each other alive, and you’ll be fine.
Check out our Cloak & Dagger guide for more details on the character.
Best counters
Going up against Mister Fantastic isn’t always the easiest task. So, if you’re struggling to take him down, you’ll want to choose these counters:
- Iron Man
- Hawkeye
- Hulk
- Loki
Iron Man
Characters like Iron Man are great counters for Mister Fantastic thanks to their range and ability to stay out of harm’s way.
Mister Fantastic is a mid-range fighter, so as long as you stay out of his way, Iron Man will be able to decimate his health while being relatively untouchable.
Check out our Iron Man guide for more details on the character.
Hawkeye
Hawkeye works in the same way as Iron Man. This ranged fighter only needs to stay away from Mister Fantastic’s fists and he’ll be absolutely fine.
Throw off some simple shots, stay away, and keep him distracted with the other melee enemies and you’ll overcome him with ease.
Check out our Hawkeye guide for more details on the character.
Hulk
While ranged fighters are great as a counter for Mister Fantastic, so are close-ranged melee characters, like Hulk.
Simply head up to him and use your fists to slowly grind down his health. Thanks to Hulk’s tankiness, Mister Fantastic’s hits won’t do too much to you as a whole, so he’ll be extremely weak against anything Hulk throws at him.
Check out our Hulk guide for more details on the character.
Iron Fist
Iron Fist’s powers against Mister Fantastic rely on his maneuverability and melee powers. He works a lot like Hulk in the sense of melee power against a mid-ranged character, but he doesn’t quite have the health of the radioactive giant.
Instead, you’ll want to remain as close as you can to Mister Fantastic, using your fists to take him down. He’ll try and get away so he can attack you back, so stick close and you’ll be fine.
