YouTube star Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg comically hit out at fans making memes on him after he made a classic mistake in Minecraft’s recent Nether update.
After diving into Minecraft’s recently released Nether update for his millions of subscribers, PewDiePie made a mistake with the newly added Netherite material that had fans poking fun at him.
In the Swede’s March 5 episode of Last Week I Asked You – a segment where he reacts to user submissions on his subreddit – the entertainer comically responded to viewers pointing out his mishap.
PewDiePie responds to Netherite memes about him
Reading his subreddit r/pewdiepiesubmissions, the YouTuber responded to posts cracking jokes about him previously mistaking Netherite for a Nether Brick during his March 31 Minecraft episode.
“PewDiePie saying he found Netherite. Minecraft pros knowing its Nether Brick,” he read aloud. He sarcastically replied, “I’m a Minecraft f**king veteran!” He then jokingly hit back at fans calling themselves pros.
“The update came out two days ago, so you’re a pro because you knew of a two day update? You all said it in my last video. You were like “oh he didn’t pick up the Netherite. It wasn’t! YOU CONFUSED ME!” he exclaimed.

The mishap all kicked off on his previous Minecraft upload when he went in search for Netherite – the rarest material in the sandbox title. The newly added item can be used to make the game’s most powerful weapons, tools, and armor.
After spending time exploring in search for the precious item, he got excited when a Piglin dropped a stack of material. “Oh! What! Noooo. Dude, fourteen!” he screamed after obtaining what he thought was Netherite.
Unfortunately it wasn’t, and it was a Nether Brick instead, which is less desirable. The mistake was understandable, as viewers claimed in a previous video that he had supposedly missed the material when that too was also a brick.

PewDiePie showed his sense of humor by sarcastically responding to the fans taking jabs at him – after all it wasn’t entirely his fault. If nothing else, this is an example of why you shouldn’t always trust comments.
The Swede continues to crush it on YouTube, amassing over 103 million subscribers to his channel. Gaming mistakes or not, his videos continue to draw in millions of views an upload.
