Beyonce shocked the world by confirming the release date of her upcoming Renaissance Part II album during Super Bowl LVIII.
While many in the US may have been dialed into the Super Bowl to witness one of the tightest matches in the history of the big game, those around the world were also watching out for big TV and Movie trailers, pop culture moments, and more.
Thanks to music icon Taylor Swift and her romance with Chief’s Star Travis Cleese, the music industry had an even bigger presence than normal at this year’s Super Bowl.
With the halftime act by Usher did bring a large amount of social media discourse, the performance wasn’t the only big music news and event to come from the Super Bowl.
After months of teasing and hints, singing juggernaut Beyonce confirmed that her hotly anticipated Renaissance Part II album will be releasing on March 29, 2024.
The singer dropped two new singles, Texas Hold ‘Em and 16 Carriages, right after announcing her new trailer in the form of a fake Super Bowl ad.
The ad in question focused largely on the singer herself, the teaser making reference to her past music. Towards the end of the teaser, the audio then shifted to Beyonce herself talking.

“OK, they’re ready — drop the new music. I told y’all the ‘Renaissance’ is not over,” Beyonce revealed before the footage was cut off.
The artist then posted the rest of her reveal on Instagram, well and truly confirming that the second part of the Renaissance album series is on the way in 2024.
Part 1 was released back in 2022 and while the release date is still unknown, Beyonce is planning to also drop a third and final part at some point in the future.
Based on the early promo and the first two singles, Part II seems to be largely inspired by Western music and will be much more acoustic-focused than the techno influence of Part I.
