Bridgit Mendler went viral after announcing her new space startup, and one TikToker is convinced she’s a time traveler.
Former Disney star Bridgit Mendler has had quite a career trajectory. After making her big break on Disney’s Good Luck Charlie and such films as Lemonade Mouth, the actress later transitioned into a bonafide pop star when she signed with Hollywood Records in 2011 and released her debut single a year later.
From there she forged an admirable pop music career before life went into a completely different direction. She pursued higher education, first earning a degree in anthropology from the University of Southern California. In 2020, she then earned a master’s from MIT, where she is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy. Additionally, Mendler is also studying to earn her Doctor of Law from Harvard Law School.
But what has the internet in a frenzy is the recent reveal of her space startup, Northwood Space. Many online believe this is yet another clue that the former actress is actually a time traveler.
Bridgit Mendler is a time traveler, according to the internet
When Bridgit Mendler announced her new startup on February 19, the internet lost its mind and quickly put the pieces together on a theory that the actress/songwriter/CEO has been time-hopping this entire time.
“Oh miss time traveler,” wrote one fan on Twitter/X.
“Guys I fully believe the Bridgit Mendler is a time traveler conspiracy,” admitted a user.
“That one TikTok theory about her being a time traveler starting to make more and more sense,” said another.

The TikTok theory in question came from JCubedHax, whose four-part series provides “evidence” that Bridigit Mendler has been working up to and has conquered time travel. The user previously explained her theory by breaking down Mendler’s many acting roles and how they fit into a different timeline.
“She’s now a space CEO. She started a space communications company, you guys,” Coach Jackie J began. “We’re going to space, baby.”
The TikToker first walks through her previous ideas, noting Mendler’s former Twitter/X bio and the implications that the star has been checking through a to-do list.
“For a long time, my main evidence has been in her Twitter bio where she listed ‘time travel??’ But I’ve been missing this whole time a key moment: space enthusiast listed in her Twitter bio,” she said.
Jackie J points out an interview in which Mendler described the company’s mission, which is to breach the data highway between space and Earth, and how the actress-turned-entrepreneur got the idea during the 2020 global health crisis.
“I’ve always said [she] first built her time machine during the pandemic, and this article all but confirms that,” she added.
While many longtime fans were disappointed Bridgit Mendler’s announcement had nothing to do with music, a space startup with $6.3 million seed money is pretty exciting nonetheless.
