Killer Mike was having the night of his life when he was arrested during the 2024 Grammy Awards.
During the pre-ceremony, Killer Mike walked away with three Grammy awards. His album Michael took home Best Rap Album, while his song “SCIENTISTS & ENGINEERS” won Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song.
The rapper was enjoying a career-high moment when he was taken into custody for misdemeanor battery. He allegedly shoved past a security officer in the rain. A citizen’s arrest then occurred, leading to his detainment.
“Likely he will be released once it’s sorted. ‘It’s a big nothing,’ source says,” journalist Chris Gardner reported. Killer Mike was detained for only an hour and is expected to appear before a judge on February 29, 2024.
