Rapper Killer Mike was whisked away in handcuffs from the 2024 Grammy Awards and was reportedly charged with battery.
Killer Mike is having both his best and worst night. On February 4, 2024, the rapper took home three golden gramophones during the Grammy Awards. Hours later, he was arrested for what has been confirmed as battery, as Page Six revealed on February 5, 2024. Reportedly, the rapper knocked over a security guard for not moving out of the way in the rain.
The Hollywood Reporter journalist Chris Gardner initially broke the news and reported that an official clarified that “it’s a misdemeanor and has nothing to do with anything that happened today here inside the arena,” Gardner shared on Twitter/X. “Likely he will be released once it’s sorted. ‘It’s a big nothing,’ source says.”
After being detained for an hour, Killer Mike was released from custody. He appears before a judge on February 29, 2024.
