SZA surprise dropped a new song called ‘Saturn’ out of nowhere, and fans are already obsessed.
Most critics would agree: SZA’s SOS was one of the best albums of 2023. Despite being released at the tail end of 2022, the album still unleashed plenty of impact upon the pop and R&B spheres.
In the aftermath of winning several Grammy Awards, SZA is back to the musical grind with a new song. Titled ‘Saturn,’ the moody track sees the singer bound for space. “Life’s better on Saturn / Got to break this pattern of floating away,” she sings.
SZA fans instantly lit up social media with excitement over the surprise release. Many even said they were totally “gagged” over the new song.

“SZA surprise releasing ‘Saturn,’ and now I’m listening to this in my car like this…. UR SICK!!!” declared another fan, attaching a video of pop singer Adele on the verge of tears.
“First Normani and now SZA? Oh we getting feddd,” said a fan.
A third chimed in, writing, “This why I love her, she’ll make ur day better doing stuff like this.”
At the 2024 Grammy Awards, SZA took home honors for Best RB& Song (‘Snooze’) and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (for the Phoebe Bridgers collab ‘Ghost in the Machine’). SZA also swiped Best Progressive R&B Album for SOS.
Currently, it’s unclear if ‘Saturn’ will be a one-off single or lead to a much larger body of work. In the ‘Saturn’ bundle, SZA also released live, acapella, instrumental, and sped-up versions of the song.
