Despite the overwhelming slate of praise on social media, Thompson and the Warriors cooled off the rest of the way against the Nuggets.
Thompson would only score seven more points in the remaining three quarters. Stephen Curry struggled mightily, shooting 6-19 from the floor for 20 points, and the team couldn’t prevent Nikola Jokic from posting a 32-16-16 triple-double, nor Jamal Murray from adding 27 points of his own.
