NFL legend Eli Manning was in the headlines this month after his coaching success and his epic rap battle during Pro Bowl weekend.
Manning’s NFC team beat older brother Peyton’s AFC team 64-59 in Orlando earlier this month and he also raised eyebrows during a rap battle skit where he dissed former quarterback rival Tom Brady.
Brady is widely considered the greatest of all time in NFL circles but the Manning brothers gave as good as they got for their respected franchises during the same era.
Across spells with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Brady won seven Super Bowl titles, a record that hasn’t been matched by any other player in history.
But in his rap battle skit with internet star Supa Hot Fire, Manning threw shade at his former rival for beating him twice in the Super Bowl, as he said: “I’m Eli Manning. I’m nice. Tom Brady’s the GOAT — sike, I beat him twice!”
How many Super Bowl rings has Eli Manning won?
Two. Eli Manning spent his entire 15 year NFL career with the New York Giants and twice made the Super Bowl. Both times, the Giants were paired against the New England Patriots dynasty and Brady, and both times they emerged victorious.
Manning’s first Super Bowl success came in 2007/08, when the Giants caused one of the greatest shocks in the history of sport.
The Giants entered the play-offs as the fifth seed, had not won a play-off game in seven years and had not won in the NFC Wildcard round in each of the last two seasons.

But they reached the Super Bowl as NFC champions and then defeated a Patriots side who had become the first team in history to win all 16 of their regular season matches.
The Giants won 17-14 at the Phoenix University Stadium and became only the fourth team in history to win the Super Bowl without playing a single game at home in the play-offs.
Manning was named Super Bowl MVP for his performance in the game and he then repeated that feat in 2011/12, as he guided the Giants to another Super Bowl triumph.
New York once again saw off Brady and the Patriots, winning 21-17 in Indianapolis. He remains one of only six players ever to win multiple Super Bowl MVP awards.
Manning retired in 2019 as one of the Giants’ most decorated players of all time and now does broadcasting work alongside his brother, Peyton.
Peyton Manning is also a two-time Super Bowl champion, winning in 2007 with the Indianapolis Colts and in 2016 with the Denver Broncos.
