A new wave of DDoS attacks are sending WoW Classic players into a fit for the second day in a row.
UPDATE – Sept 8 at 5:05 PM
Blizzard announced that most servers are “back online and stable” following the DDoS attacks.
All WoW Realms except Rattlegore are back online and stable. The investigation continues for that realm. Some players may experience persistent login issues until realm maintenance tomorrow morning.

The company will continue to monitor the health of their servers as they watch out for any potential issues. There will be a realm maintenance the morning of Sept 9.
Original story below:
On September 7, Blizzard confirmed that an attack against network providers was affecting connections to their games such as Overwatch and World of Warcraft.
Now, the attacks have begun again, prompting a response from the company’s customer service Twitter account.

“We are currently monitoring a DDOS attack against network providers which is affecting latency/connections to our games,” they said.
While they don’t mention WoW or any game specifically, they did in a previous tweet. “Our teams are currently investigating issues impacting realm stability. Thank you all for your reports,” they said.

“If you are able to log onto Overwatch, I strongly recommend avoiding the Competitive Play mode at this time. Penalties cannot be reversed if you are disconnected during a Competitive Match,” they wrote.
The issue may even have affected the Overwatch League playoffs as the official broadcast went offline earlier on September 8.
I’ve found that a temporary solution for the DDOS attacks is to use the Command Center; it does no go down when the OWL stream flickers. Hope that helps someone out there.

However, people found work arounds. “I’ve found that a temporary solution for the DDOS attacks is to use the Command Center; it does no go down when the OWL stream flickers. Hope that helps someone out there,” Commentator Wolf ‘Proxwolf’ Schröder wrote.
In any case, fans looking to raid and level up may have to find something else to do until Blizzard can find a way to resolve the problem.
