Genji is now able to deflect Doomfist’s Rocket Punch, but no damage is reflected back, similar to Reinhardt’s hammer damage.
The most recent Overwatch patch came out on November 14 and it seems like there are still some changes being discovered.
Doomfist received several changes in the patch, including nerfs his uppercut stun time and Seismic slam distance, but one looks to have flown under the radar.
User DeMeaningless shared the information in a post to the Overwatch University subreddit and said it would change 1v1s a lot for Genji and Doomfist players.
One user in the comments pointed out that the damage from Doomfist’s punch does not reflect back on him, similar to Reinhardt’s hammer swings against Genji’s Deflect.

There was a lot of people in the Overwatch community complaining about Doomfist’s ability to one hit kill most heroes, and it looks like the recent patch might be a step forward, for Genji mains at least.
With Overwatch League’s second season starting at the beginning of 2019, there’s still a few months for Blizzard to roll out various hero changes.
