Fortnite pro Benjy ‘benjyfishy’ Fish recently Tweeted he was interested in joining the Overwatch League, and has been showing off his DPS skills on stream.

Benjyfishy is a prolific Fortnite pro who has played in a number of tournaments this year including the 2019 Fortnite World Cup, which helped him become a well-known name in the community.

A few days after Christmas, benjy, possibly a bit burnt out from Fortnite, said he was considering picking up Overwatch, and joked he’d like a spot on the 2019 Championship team San Francisco Shock.

During a stream on December 28, benjy managed to pop off with McCree, scoring three headshots and wiping out the attacking team on Havana.

NRG, who have the pro player signed, jokingly posted the video and said they were moving the Fortnite star over to the Shock team.

As far as Overwatch League teams go, the Shock are the best bet benjy probably has at breaking into the league, since he and the team are both a part of NRG.

Of course, if he does want to go pro in Overwatch he’ll definitely have to get higher than Platinum rank, but based on how he’s dominated with McCree so far, that might not be too big of a challenge.

At the time of writing, he was diligently grinding his way through Platinum towards Diamond, and it will be interesting to see how far the Fortnite pro makes it on the Overwatch ladder.

The Overwatch League 2020 season is set to kick off on February 8 in New York, so the Fortnite pro still has a few months to try and make the cut for the Shock.

Even if he doesn’t make his big OWL debut come February, NRG could probably get him in on some of the Shock’s scrims, at least.
